Have you ever seen those really cute buttons people decorate their purses or clothes with? Or those cute magnets at gift shops that cost a dollar per magnet? Well here is your chance to make your own for half the price!
No hourly fee here, just buy a kit and I'll teach you how to use the machine. It's easy to get the hang of and fast. You bring your own paper-- you can use computer printouts, magazines, children's books or draw your own design. Just make sure you are okay cutting them up!
Button making kits: $6 for 15 sets
Magnet making kits: $7 for 15 sets
Who I Am
My name is Erica and Welcome! I am a huge lover of all things handmade and starting in July 2011 I would like to offer sewing lessons to the locals around Paw Paw.
I have been sewing and crafting for years--since Jr. High actually. My first project, I remember vividly, was a pair of leopard print shorts much too short to ever wear! I'd like to share what I've learned over the years--clothes and costume making, quilts, coil bowls, bags, and more. I believe everyone should learn at their own pace and make what interests them.
Lessons will be out of my home. Timing is flexible as I'm a stay-at-home mom. I can schedule what works for you. For safety reasons, I will not be posting my phone number, please refer to the ad in the Paw Paw local paper. Or email me at chariot71226@yahoo.com with "Craft Lessons" somehow in the subject line.
Sewing lessons are $10 per hour + the price of a project kit (or bring your own supplies). I will provide a sewing machine, serger, cutting mats, scissors, thread, pins, and the like. Currently, I only have one sewing machine. If you are willing to share, bring a friend and share the hour for $5 each.
Posted below are various projects to choose from. When you sign up for your lesson let me know which project you are interested in and I will have several kits ready. You are more than welcome to choose your own project but you will need to purchase any fabrics, trim, specialty thread, or pattern on your own.
Lessons are for children to adults--anyone who wants to learn is welcome. A parent accompanying a child is welcome to sit and relax with a cup of coffee and a book.
Please send me a message or give me a call if you have any questions.
